Taco Seasoning (or you need to use one packet/ serving of store-bought taco seasoning)
1 pound floor beef
1/2 yellow onion diced
2 baggage tortilla chips (16 ounces every)
1 can refried beans
16 ounces shredded cheese of alternative (I used cheddar and Monterey jack)
3 roma tomatoes diced
2 to three inexperienced onions sliced

Preheat the oven at 400 levels.

In the meantime on the stovetop, brown the bottom beef and diced onions over medium-high warmth till totally cooked (about 8 minutes) and drain.

Return the meat to the pan, and sprinkle on the taco seasoning.

Stir in 3/4 cup water, deliver it to a simmer, scale back warmth and simmer till the liquid principally evaporates, about 5 minutes.

Whereas the meat is cooking, add a beneficiant layer of chips to 2 baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Spoon on refried beans, half on every pan. These are thick, however I simply add spoon fulls all around the chips. (The spoon fulls will unfold with the warmth of the oven.)

Spoon on half the bottom beef to every pan of chips.

Sprinkle shredded cheese on prime.

Bake at 400 levels for quarter-hour.

Take away from the oven, and sprinkle on diced tomatoes and inexperienced onions.

Serve instantly.

Recipe Notes
Be certain your tortilla chips are thick and durable. NO skinny ones. I like to recommend Costco’s Kirkland natural tortilla chips, or the same model.

I wrote this recipe with entertaining in thoughts. If you’re making this for a smaller crown (4 to six), I believe half the recipe would work simply wonderful. Simply change the variety of servings on the recipe card to regulate all measurements.
