Ingredients:
1 stick butter (½ cup)
2 cups granulated sugar
½ cup milk
1 cup peanut butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups quick-cook oats
¼ tsp salt

Instructions:
- Prepare a Baking Surface:
Line a baking sheet or your counter with parchment or wax paper for the cookies to cool on. - Cook the Base Mixture:
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine:
1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
½ cup milk
Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil.
- Boil for 1 Minute:
Once boiling, let it boil for exactly 1 minute, stirring frequently.
(Tip: Overboiling can lead to dry cookies; underboiling can make them too soft.) - Add Remaining Ingredients:
Remove the pan from heat and quickly stir in:
1 cup peanut butter
2 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
3 cups quick-cook oats
Mix well until fully combined.
- Drop the Cookies:
Using a spoon or cookie scoop, quickly drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared parchment/wax paper. - Cool and Set:
Let the cookies cool at room temperature for about 20–30 minutes until firm and set.
