Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter (softened)
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1½ tsp vanilla extract
1¾ cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated, see below)
¼ tsp salt
2 tbsp heavy cream
1½ cups chocolate chips

Instructions:
- Heat-Treat the Flour (Important for Safety):
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spread the flour evenly on a baking sheet.
Bake for 5–7 minutes to kill any potential bacteria.
Let cool completely before using in dough.
- Make the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Mix in the vanilla extract.
Add the cooled heat-treated flour and salt. Mix until combined (it will be thick).
Stir in the heavy cream to help smooth out the texture.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Serve:
Scoop into bowls or roll into bite-sized balls.
Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for a firmer texture. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
