Candy, salty, garlicky, and unbelievably crispy — these Crispy Garlic Soy Chicken Wings are pure perfection! 🧄🍯
Every chunk has the right crunch, coated in a sticky garlic soy glaze that’s wealthy, tangy, and barely candy. The double-fry methodology makes them further crispy, whereas the sauce provides that impossible to resist shine and taste.
Components
For the wings:
- 1 kg (2.2 lb) hen wings, cleaned and cut up
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch (for coating)
For the sauce:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (non-compulsory however scrumptious)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp chili flakes (non-compulsory)
For garnish:
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Sliced inexperienced onions
🍗 Directions
- Season the hen
- In a bowl, toss wings with salt, pepper, soy sauce, and 1 tbsp cornstarch.
- Allow them to marinate for 20–half-hour.
- Coat the wings
- In one other bowl, combine flour and cornstarch.
- Dredge the marinated wings till properly coated. Shake off extra.
- Fry the wings (double fry for crispiness)
- Warmth oil to 170°C (340°F).
- Fry wings in small batches for 5–6 minutes, till mild golden. Take away and let relaxation for five minutes.
- Increase the oil to 190°C (375°F) and fry once more for 2–3 minutes, till further crispy.
- Make the sauce
- In a small pan, warmth sesame oil and sauté garlic till aromatic (about 30 seconds).
- Add soy sauce, honey, vinegar, oyster sauce, and chili flakes.
- Cook dinner for two–3 minutes till barely thick and shiny.
- Toss and serve
- Coat the recent wings within the garlic soy sauce till absolutely glazed.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and inexperienced onions.
